Threats :
Aarey’s lush forest lands face the following immediate threats. The depletion of forest land and its effects will be visible in the long term. Destruction of Aarey’s Biodiversity could be an irreversible process and hence needs to be avoided at all costs:
  • Concrete replacing green (including a proposal to construct the Metro III yard)
  • Illegal Encroachments
  • Littering
  • Law & Order situations
  • Suppression of forest regeneration
  • Forest Fires
